Golden Ceiling Mosaic - Istanbul

Istanbul is a treasure trove of mosques, bazaars, ancient and modern sights and sounds. This tiny pavilion is a jewel of golden mosaic in an ablutions fountain near the Blue Mosque.

The colors, shapes, patterns and play of light and color are wonderful at Gaddani beach. From the tall cliffs to the tiniest details in the tide pools there is much to see and explore.

Feathers

Feathers are really amazing when you look at them closely. the patterns on an individual feather, the way the vanes fit together so closely with the barbs - and just think how these light weight but strong feathers enable a bird to fly - an amazement in itself.

Fern with spores

This backyard garden fern developed large orange spots - only on one of the fern fronds. They orange spores are large enough to cast a shadow in the early morning sun. In Karachi Garden. If anyone knows the name of this fern let me know.

Orange County CA Colors

Orange County California has many lovely spots that are off the beaten track. Although the area is very dry, occasional rain showers do bring out the colors.

I love sunrise. Its cool, quiet and is never the same from one day to another. There could be a misty look to the surroundings. spectacular clouds and rays, or the sun might come blasting up into a hot day and a clear sky. These sunrise pictures are all taken in Karachi.
